Our Vines

Grape Varieties

The grape varieties exploited are locals :
Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Marselan and Mourvêdre for red wine and rosé.
White grenache, Viognier, Clairettes,
Marsanne and Roussanne for white wine.

Types of Soil

The vines of our cellar are cultivated on three main types of soil:
Villafranchienne Terrace: It is a floor made of rolled pebbles (quartz bring by the river), clay and/or sand.
This ground dating from the quaternary was the former Rhône’s bed, it gives a generous and spicy character to the wines produced there.
Urgonians: White limestone slate soils from the tertiary era. This terroir brings a lot of finesse and fruit into the wines.
Les Marnes: Soils consisting of a clay-limestone mixture with a good moisture content to resist the summer dryness and which gives round and gourmet wines.
